Terms and Conditions.

1. Booking & payments system – We reserve the right to refuse a booking or to make changes to advertised prices until the point of confirmation of your venture. A non- refundable deposit is required on booking to confirm your booking which is expected to be paid after one week of enquiry. If a deposit is taken the deposit will be in the region of £20 per person down the discretion of The Edge Adventure. Full payment is due within 2 weeks prior to commencement of your venture or unless stated otherwise. You will be allotted 3 weeks before your arrival to make changes to numbers of participants, however after this date given you will be charged on the final number. If there are additional numbers on the day then full payment will be needed on the day of activities, unless otherwise stated.
2. Cancellations by The Edge Adventure- Due to the very nature of the outdoor environment means that the weather and other unforeseen circumstances can often determine that some activities are not possible on the day. Examples of possible hindrance may be too much snow / wind/rain. Any changes we are forced to make due to these or similar circumstances will be based on ensuring your safety and providing you with a quality outdoor experience. We will inform you as soon as we have made an assessment that such a change is necessary so we can discuss /arrange suitably comparable alternative activities/venue for your day/event/course. We will always endeavor to ensure that the group will have an alternative activity and not lose out on a session
3. Cancellations/Postponements by the organization- All Cancellations made by the organizer must be made in writing and sent to The Edge. If you wish to postpone you day/camp/residential then all payment schedules will move accordingly. Please be aware that postponing may not always be feasible, activities and accommodation may be unavailable. You deposit will only be valid for twelve months.
Cancellation Payment Schedules
More than 14 weeks prior to the start date Loss of deposit only
Between 10 & 12 weeks prior to the start date 35% of the total cost + Deposit
Between 6 & 8 weeks prior to the start date 60% of the total cost + Deposit
Within 4 weeks of start date or during the event Full payment is due

Refund policy:

We understand situations arise when you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. To do so, we request you notify us at least 24 hours in advance.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your appointment will not be refunded. All bookings or changes prior to this will be refunded .No-shows without prior notification will lose their deposit and or payment.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy, as it helps us maintain efficient scheduling and service quality for all our customers. In case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, please contact us directly to discuss your situation. We may be able to waive the deposit cancellation fee at our discretion.

 

 

4. Insurance/ Personal-
4.1. The Edge Adventure is insured for five million sterling pounds
4.2. The Edge Adventure recommends that you take out insurance cover for your own personal belongings and accepts no liability for lost/damaged personal belongings.
4.3. The Edge Adventure reminds clients that our activities tend to contain an element of physical activity and that any physical activity can be strenuous. We suggest that any person who has a medical condition that may be aggravated by participating in a physical activity seeks professional medical advice before doing so.
4.4. If pregnant we can only supply information on which activities that hold the least amount risk. However ultimately the decision is down to the participant and we urge participants to seek medical advice from a professional
4.5. The Edge Adventure aims to operate to the highest health and safety levels, however, we remind participants that running programs in the outdoors presents an element of risk and we accept no liability for any injury or accident that may occur outside the categories of instructor negligence or structural failure of facilities constructed by The Edge Adventure.

5. Consent and Medical Forms- All organisations are expects to retain information on each participants and inform The Edge on any critical medial needs. You will be provided a medical sheet to be filled out and then given back to The Edge for confidential use. The organisation will also be provided with an individual consent form to which parents/carers/legal guardians are expects to fill out the information and returned back to The Edge Adventure.
6. Behaviour- The Edge Adventure reserves the right to remove any individual off activities if deemed a danger to themselves, the instructor or to others. Failure of controlling participants will result in a request to leave site.
7. Instructors- The Edge adventure instructors are expected to deliver the safety and supervision of participants on activity sessions. We do not offer pastoral care to organisations who are camp/residential. It is up to the organisation to provide adequate leaders and staffing to ensure the care and safety of participants outside activity hours. Group Leaders/teachers/support staff are expected to be involved with activities and ensuring that special needs and requirements are met.
